Authorities have identified the man fatally struck near the 9000 block of Lucas and Hunt Road as 30-year-old Ka’Ontee Johnson of St. Louis. The tragic incident occurred in the early morning hours of January 17, 2026, when officers responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, Johnson was hit by at least one vehicle while in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved remained on-site and is cooperating with investigators. The case remains active as authorities continue to gather more details
