Authorities say 33-year-old Justin Reese is now facing serious charges after allegedly making threats to harm children at the Mid-County YMCA in Brentwood. According to court documents, Reese called the center around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday and claimed he had a gun. He allegedly told staff he was heading to the location to confront his ex-girlfriend, who works at the facility, and stated he would harm the children.
Police arrested Reese shortly after and recovered a loaded firearm and 10 rounds of ammunition from his nightstand. While in custody, Reese reportedly admitted to the phone call and said he was upset over threats his ex allegedly made toward him. He is now charged with one count of first-degree terrorist threat.
