FROM JENNINGS TO BECOMING A DOCTOR ONE ST. LOUIS WOMAN CAME BACK HOME TO SERVE HER COMMUNITY 🩺❤️

This is the type of story we LOVE to see coming out of St. Louis.

Dr. Ashley Williams-Farmer grew up in Jennings and graduated from Jennings High School. From there, she attended Spelman College before continuing her education at Tulane University, where she earned a master’s degree in neuroscience. Her journey eventually led her to medical school, and today she is a board-certified Family Medicine physician.

But what makes her story even better is that she came back HOME.

Dr. Williams-Farmer now works as a physician with Total Access Urgent Care, treating patients throughout the St. Louis community. For her, coming back isn’t just about practicing medicine. It’s about serving the same community that helped raise her.

And representation MATTERS. There are little girls growing up in Jennings and throughout North County right now who may have never met a doctor who came from a neighborhood just like theirs.

Sometimes our children need to actually SEE somebody who came from where they come from to understand just how far they can go.

From Jennings High School to becoming Dr. Ashley Williams-Farmer. Now THAT’S something St. Louis can be proud of. 👏🏾🩺❤️
