DISGRUNTLED FORMER EMPLOYEE ARRESTED AFTER THREATENING TO SHOOT UP UNION STATION AND HER OLD JOB

A 39-year-old woman is sitting in jail with no bond after allegedly threatening to shoot up both Union Station and her former employer, St. Louis Parking.

The woman, identified as Erika Sade Shields, is now facing two serious charges one count of first-degree terrorist threat and one count of second-degree terrorist threat.

According to court documents, on October 14 Shields called her old job and allegedly said she was going to “shoot the corporate offices of St. Louis Parking.” The call was recorded. Investigators say she also made another threat in a separate call, claiming she would shoot up Union Station. On top of that, she reportedly sent a text message repeating the threat. Shields was arrested and is being held with no bond while the case moves forward.

No shots were fired, but the threats alone were enough to lock her up and in this climate, nobody is taking that kind of talk lightly.
