Daniel Ott, an assistant principal at Hollenbeck Middle School, was arrested after school Wednesday as authorities investigate allegations involving the possession of child sexual abuse material.
According to the Francis Howell School District, law enforcement took Ott into custody without incident and informed district officials of their intent to pursue charges related to the alleged material.
The district says there is currently no indication that any Hollenbeck Middle School students were involved.
Ott has served as an assistant principal at Hollenbeck since 2024. He has now been placed on leave and will not be allowed on school or district property while the investigation continues.
Superintendent Mark Delaney called the allegations an extremely serious matter and said the district is cooperating fully with law enforcement.
This investigation is still ongoing, and any criminal allegations remain accusations unless proven in court.
