A deadly shooting shook the Tower Grove South neighborhood on December 11. A 38-year-old man was found shot and killed in the 3700 block of Winnebago just after 3 p.m.
When police got to the scene, they found the man suffering from gunshot wounds. EMS tried to help, but it was too late. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Homicide detectives moved fast. On December 12, they arrested 19-year-old Addyn Karnes in connection with the killing. The Circuit Attorney’s Office hit him with multiple charges, including Murder in the First Degree, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He’s still in custody.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Homicide Division at 314-444-5371 or leave an anonymous tip with CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS. Cash rewards are possible, but only if the tip leads to a felony arrest.
