The young man who lost his life Friday night outside St. Louis Fish & Chicken in the 5000 block of Goodfellow has been identified as 23-year-old Reginald Holmes.
Police say Holmes was approached by a group of young men who allegedly tried to rob him. Investigators say he resisted, and during that confrontation, one of the men shot him before the group ran away.
Holmes was found suffering from a gunshot wound and sadly died at the scene.
Just 23 years old. A whole life ahead of him, gone in a matter of moments over an attempted robbery. Situations like this are devastating because behind every headline is a real person, a real family, and people who now have to figure out how to live with this loss.
