LAMBERT AIRPORT WON’T SEE FAA CUTS BUT DELAYS STILL COMING

St. Louis Lambert Airport dodged the list. The FAA just announced it’s cutting flight traffic by 10% at 40 airports nationwide due to staffing shortages, but Lambert ain’t one of them.

Still, that doesn’t mean smooth sailing for St. Louis travelers. A lot of the top destinations from here, like Chicago, Denver, and New York, are on the list. So even if your flight leaves from Lambert, you might deal with cancellations, delays, or fewer options getting in or out.

Lambert’s director says the airport hasn’t had any major issues and local staffing isn’t the problem. The delays we’re seeing now are because other airports are backed up.

So yes, we’re not getting hit directly, but the ripple effect is real. If you’re flying soon, pack your patience
