ST. LOUIS LAUNCHES 2025 CITY FOOD INSECURITY FUND TO FILL SNAP GAP

St. Louis Mayor Cara Spencer just rolled out the 2025 City Food Insecurity Fund to help families hit hard by recent SNAP cuts. With 1 in 5 residents depending on food stamps and over $11 million in benefits issued just last month, this ain’t just a small issue it’s survival for a lot of people.

The fund is run by United Way of Greater St. Louis and works with Operation Food Search, the St. Louis Area Foodbank, and others to make sure donations go straight to food pantries and grassroots orgs that are feeding our people daily.

Between the May 16th tornado and government shutdowns, residents are already dealing with enough. This new fund is about stepping in where federal help has fallen short.
