A woman who was shot and killed in Northwoods has now been identified as 35-year-old Deara Banks, also known as “DeeDee,” according to the St. Louis County Police Department.
Police say the shooting happened on Easter Sunday, April 5th, around 5:30 p.m. in the 6900 block of Pine Ridge Drive. Officers with the Northwoods Police Department responded to a call for service and arrived to find Banks suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.
At this time, no suspects have been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
