MAN SHOT AND KILLED OUTSIDE OF DOWNTOWN SMOKE SHOP IDENTIFIED ๐Ÿ’”

New details have been released following the deadly shooting outside a smoke shop near 13th and Cass that left two people dead and several others injured.

Authorities have identified the victim as 30-year-old Liban Yusuf and Jaquan Connor. Investigators say the situation involved multiple people exchanging gunfire, leading to a chain of events that ended in both men losing their lives.

According to police, Jaquan Connor is believed to have fatally shot Liban Yusuf, while Yusuf is also believed to have returned gunfire, injuring Connor and another individual. Authorities say 26-year-old Luhizo Maalin allegedly shot and killed Connor during the incident and has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. At the same time, we were told through another source that 26-year-old Luhizo Maalin was an employee and family member of the deceased store owner.

Two additional individuals were injured during the shooting, with one reported in critical but stable condition. Authorities say all individuals involved have been accounted for, and no outstanding suspects are being sought at this time.
