TWO MEN CHARGED IN DEADLY SHOOTING THAT LEFT A MAN DEAD AND HIS GIRLFRIEND INJURED

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has arrested and charged two men in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Brayan Aparicio, who was found shot in a car near South Grand and Meramec on the night of November 9, 2025.

The suspects, identified as Kavion Couch and 20-year-old Solomon Rasas, are now facing a series of serious charges. Couch has been charged with Murder in the First Degree, Assault in the First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and three counts of Armed Criminal Action. Rasas faces those same charges, with an additional count of Resisting Arrest.

Authorities say the victim’s girlfriend was present during the incident but was not injured. She informed officers that the shooting originally took place in the 3600 block of Dunnica Avenue. After the shots were fired, she drove Aparicio to the area near South Grand and Meramec, where police eventually located them. Aparicio was found unresponsive and not breathing in the passenger seat of a silver Toyota sedan. EMS transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
