Shawn Kraml is facing a charge of aggravated fleeing a stop or detention after police say he led officers on a high-speed run reaching over 100 mph on the highway.
According to reports, a St. Ann officer spotted Kraml speeding on Interstate 70, with radar showing him going nearly 100 mph in a 60 zone. Police say he continued weaving through traffic at speeds exceeding 100 mph, nearly hitting several vehicles along the way.
Due to the danger, officers deployed a GPS tracking device instead of continuing a direct pursuit. The vehicle was later tracked into St. Charles County, where Kraml was eventually stopped.
He is currently being held on a $200,000 cash-only bond.
