Two brothers were fatally shot and killed Wednesday in a deadly altercation in North St. Louis City.
It all unfolded just before noon in the 1000 block of Hamilton. Police say 35-year-old Victor Blount was found shot to death inside an apartment. His older brother, 40-year-old Jeramie Blount, was discovered nearby in a field suffering from a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital but later died.
According to police, the preliminary investigation suggests the two brothers got into a heated argument that turned deadly Jeramie allegedly shot Victor during the dispute.
A woman who was inside the apartment at the time reportedly shot and killed Jeramie in self-defense. She was taken into custody and is cooperating with investigators.
