REST IN PEACEFULLY COACH “BUDDY” SHAW

St. Louis has lost a giant. Mr. Winston “Buddy” Shaw, one of the city’s most respected and beloved boxing coaches, has passed away and the news has left a deep ache in the hearts of so many who knew and loved him.

Buddy wasn’t just a coach. He was a mentor, a protector, a father figure, an uncle, and a brother to those who crossed his path. For decades, he poured into his community especially the youth with tough love, discipline, and unwavering support.

Whether you knew him from the gym or from life, you knew his presence was unforgettable. He had a way of pushing you, uplifting you, and making you feel seen even when the world overlooked you. He believed in second chances, hard work, and staying ten toes down no matter what life threw at you.

Buddy was well loved. Respected. Needed. And now, deeply missed.

Rest easy, Coach. Your fight is done, but your legacy lives on through every soul you touched. 🕊️🥊
