Sadly, a fatal incident unfolded on I-70 in the early hours of December 7th when 37-year-old Orlando Whalen lost his life after surviving an initial crash.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Orlando had gotten into a wreck and stepped out of his vehicle to check the damage. He wasn’t injured from the first crash, but while examining his car, he was struck by another vehicle and killed on the scene.
Authorities arrived around 12:15 a.m. and confirmed that Orlando had died from his injuries.
