A man has been charged after a break-in at the Barr Branch Library on Jefferson Avenue in St. Louis. According to police, officers were called to the scene on Monday morning and arrived to find multiple windows and doors smashed. Inside the building, they discovered 34-year-old Leroy Eason IV, who had reportedly moved several computer monitors and speakers to another section of the library. Authorities say Eason then attempted to flee by jumping out of a window, but officers arrested him before he could get away.
Eason has been charged with second-degree burglary, attempted stealing of $750 or more, first-degree property damage, and first-degree trespassing.
