HIPOINTE DRIVE-IN CLOSING THREE LOCATIONS TO REFOCUS BUSINESS

One of the most recognizable burger spots in the St. Louis area, Hi-Pointe Drive-In, is officially scaling back. The restaurant announced it will be closing three of its locations as part of a business decision meant to strengthen the brand’s overall quality and consistency.

The closures will affect Hi-Pointe’s O’Fallon and Edwardsville, Illinois locations, as well as the Ballwin store in Missouri. In a statement posted to social media, the company said, “Sometimes growing means taking a step back.” They admitted the choice wasn’t easy but emphasized that it was necessary in order to better serve both customers and staff.

Hi-Pointe Drive-In opened its original location back in 2017 on McCausland Avenue and quickly became a local favorite with its bold flavors and colorful branding. Since then, it grew to nine locations across the St. Louis metro and Metro East area.

Despite the setbacks, the brand reassured customers that gift cards, loyalty rewards, and promos will still be accepted at all remaining locations which include three in St. Louis and one each in Kirkwood, Cottleville, and Chesterfield.

Hi-Pointe also shared that employees from the closing stores were offered the opportunity to transfer to other locations within the company.

We know this is just a minor setback for a major comeback. Remember to support your local restaurants throughout the week too.
