A 29-year-old Maryland Heights man is facing serious charges after a woman was found shot and paralyzed earlier this month.
29-year-old Chris Carpunky has been charged with second-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action in connection to a December 2 incident. According to investigators, the victim had been restrained on a bed with heavy-duty tape before Carpunky allegedly shot her.
Police say officers recovered the firearm believed to be used in the shooting.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was reported to be unconscious and paralyzed. Carpunky is currently being held on a $150,000 cash-only bond while the investigation remains ongoing. That bond should be HIGHER ‼️‼️
