We finally received a photo of 28-year-old Shannon O’Brien. She was fatally shot on January 30 in the 1700 block of Windward Court in Ferguson while she was working as a rideshare driver. She was simply doing her job, trying to make a living, and never made it home.
Behind the headlines and police tape was a real woman with a life, people who loved her, and plans that were never supposed to end this way. Situations like this are a painful reminder of how dangerous everyday work has become for so many people, especially rideshare drivers who are often left exposed and vulnerable.
