Both babies were placed in the NICU at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in downtown Fort Worth to gain weight and develop stronger feeding habits. According to the family, the girls were progressing just fine until everything changed without warning.
On the morning of December 5, 2025, the baby’s father says he was denied access to the NICU due to a “sterile procedure.” A nurse allegedly noted the baby looked pale around 8:00 a.m., but no emergency was reported until hours later. By 11:30 a.m., baby Samaria had passed away. The family says they weren’t notified properly and had to push for details in person.
