Authorities have identified the man shot and killed outside Chevy’s Mexican Restaurant Saturday evening as 26-year-old Preston Foster Jr. of St. Louis.
Olivette Police responded to the restaurant at 9119 Olive Boulevard around 5:20 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they found Foster suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated and is now leading the investigation.
Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident and say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
