On Friday, March 18th, 20-year-old Donald Steeples was sentenced to 10 years in prison for 1st Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action. He pleaded guilty to these crimes on February 14.

Steeples admitted that on April 25, 2020, on the 1600 block of Patterson Road in Florissant, he displayed and threatened to use a firearm to a female victim, ordered her out of a vehicle and drove away in her vehicle.

“My office has been very deliberate in working with our law enforcement partners on cracking down on these auto theft crimes, especially when they involve violence or the threat of violence,” said St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell. “We will not tolerate these types of crimes, and people need to realize that flourishing a gun isn’t a shortcut to anything but prison.”
