Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Sunday evening in south St. Louis. According to investigators, officers from District Three responded to the area of Cherokee Street and Nebraska Avenue around 5:45 p.m. after reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from critical injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from his wounds.
Police say the shooter remained at the scene. No word yet on what led up to the shooting or if any charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
