On Wednesday, February 9, a St. Louis County jury convicted 36-year-old Jerome Tolliver of Domestic Assault 1st Degree, a Class A Felony, and Armed Criminal Action, an Unclassified Felony, in Division 19 of St. Louis County Circuit Court.
The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office proved beyond a reasonable doubt that on January 23, 2018, on the 1800 block of Flicker Drive in Florissant, Tolliver shot his live-in girlfriend, causing serious physical injury. The victim is paralyzed from the waist down.
The Florissant Police Department investigated the incident.
“If you seriously harm someone you are supposed to love, you are going to be held accountable and face serious consequences,” said St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell. “For those who are in abusive relationships – you are not alone. If you don’t know who to contact, reach out to us and we will connect you to the resources and help that you need.”
The court set a sentencing hearing for April 13.
