St. Louis native Leslie Joanne Wayne was shot and killed by her husband in Atlanta, Georgia. According to authorities, they arrived at her residence to find her and her husband deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Atlanta PD later confirmed that it was a murder-suicide.
Metro Boomin often acknowledges that he wouldn’t be successful if it wasn’t for his mother’s support. In an interview, he mentioned that at an early age she would drive him back and forth to Atlanta to work with other artists. He also mentioned previously that her dedication to provide for him and his siblings is the reason why he never gave up.
