2-year-old Mario Mitchell died Friday in St. Louis city. According to authorities, the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
The official report stated that child abuse detectives responded to a hospital for an assault that occurred in the 1500 block of South 39th around 8 p.m. When they arrived the child Mario Mitchell, was unresponsive and had severe bruising on his abdomen. He would be pronounced dead around 8:30 pm.
