A woman was shot downtown near the intersection of Washington Ave and Fourth Street Saturday night. According to authorities she was shot in her stomach and transported to a local area hospital where she later died from her injuries. Officials concluded that the victim and suspect knew each other.
The male suspect was apprehended shortly after. At the moment details are still forming we will update the community when more information becomes available.
