An overnight shooting happened in the 3500 block of S. Spring Avenue. Authorities confirmed that a 14-year-old and a 10-year-old were injured in a shooting. A preliminary investigation concluded that the suspect shot through a window of the home shooting the 14-year-old in her upper extremities and injuring the 10-year-old as well. Both minors were transported to a local area hospital in stable condition. At least 61 children have been shot this year in the metropolitan area.
