A woman was shot in her upper extremities Tuesday night around 10:55 p.m. and was transported to a local area hospital. The incident was a result of an argument that turned physical. According to the victim she was in town to bury a relative. When she met up with her ex-boyfriend of eight years to get a few items out of storage. He agreed to meet her and give her the key but shortly after arriving things got hostile. The suspect now identified as 53-year-old Karl Lymas shot the victim several times for refusing to get in his car.

Lymas lives in Michigan and the authorities have been notified of the incident. Lymas is being charged with first-degree domestic assault, two counts of armed criminal action, and second-degree attempted kidnapping.
