A preliminary investigation has revealed this to be a murder/suicide. According to authorities, they believed that 39-year-old Bernadine intentionally set a mattress on fire as that was the point of origin for the fire. A suicide note was also left stating Bernadine’s intentions to take her life and the lives of her children. Prior to her passing, she was thanking God for her children and was excited about her eventful day.

This is truly heartbreaking 💔. You never know what people are going through. We’re praying for all those affected by this tragedy. Please keep her family and friends lifted up in prayer. Remember to check on the people that always seem to have it together. We all face silent battles.
