Within an hour, seven people were shot and injured one fatal.The first shooting occurred at 11:15 p.m. near Olive Street and Spring Avenue. A man was shot in the face while riding a bike. According to authorities, it was an attempted robbery.
The second shooting happened about twenty minutes later around 11:36 p.m. at the BP gas station located on Broadway and Grand Avenue. Officials later confirmed that it was a triple shooting when three victims arrived at a local area hospital suffering from gunshot wounds.
Following a third shooting that transpired around 11:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of Samuel Shepard Drive. One male victim was shot in his lower extremities. He was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.
The last shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. near the intersection of Clara Street and MLK . Upon approaching the scene it was confirmed by authorities that a double shooting occurred leaving both victims critically injured. The victims were transported to a local area hospital. One victim was later pronounced deceased.
