Last month, officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s District 6 launched an investigation into a 27-year-old convicted felon. Their investigation resulted in the seizure of 27 firearms, including three that were equipped with illegal conversion devices capable of making them fully automatic.
Authorities confirmed that four of the recovered weapons had been reported stolen. One of the firearms was identified as a privately made weapon with no serial number.
Last week, in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), District 6 officers arrested the suspect. He is currently being held in federal custody as the investigation continues.
