12-year-old Jada West, a student at Mason Creek Middle School in Douglas County, Georgia, has reportedly passed away after her heart stopped following an altercation with another student while getting off the school bus.
According to family members, the situation began earlier and continued as students were exiting the bus. In video shared by relatives, Jada can reportedly be heard saying she did not want to fight and asking why everyone was getting off the bus during the incident.
Family members say the situation escalated as students gathered around. Before Jada could even make it home, her heart stopped, and she was rushed to the hospital. She later passed away.
Loved ones say Jada had never been known to get into fights and are now asking for answers about what happened, including questions about supervision during the incident.
