We recently received a video of a horrific fight that took place at Confluence Academy with over a half dozen students. Speaking from a Millennial perspective we are officially the elders to the younger generation. Despite living through post-Reaganomics and the crack era we had youth programs. By providing mentorship, positive role models, and access to resources, we were empowered to cultivate resilience, confidence, and had a strong sense of identity
The importance of youth guidance serves as a vital tool for empowering young people to navigate through various challenges they may face, including systemic racism, socio-economic disparities, and identity struggles. Instead of complaining we are taking the initiative as a media platform to try to solve the issues instead of complaining about it. We are willing to sit down and talk with individuals who own organizations to help guide the youth!
This guidance is crucial for fostering leadership skills, promoting academic and career success, and instilling a strong sense of cultural pride and heritage. Ultimately, investing in the guidance and support of African American youth is not only beneficial for the individual but also for the community as a whole, paving the way for a brighter and more equitable future.
