A St. Louis student, Amira Smith, a 16-year-old attending St. Joseph’s Academy, has been selected as a National Youth Correspondent and will attend George Mason University’s Washington Journalism and Media Conference.

This opportunity recognizes students who show strong passion, dedication, and talent in journalism. Through this program, Amira will represent not only her school, but also the St. Louis community on a national level.

As an aspiring journalist, she has shown a deep love for storytelling and using her voice to inform and inspire others. Being selected for this program reflects her hard work and commitment.

In a time where so much attention is placed on the negative, moments like this deserve to be acknowledged.
