An incident at America’s Best Eye Care and Eyewear Center in the 10000 block of Halls Ferry Road has people talking after a situation inside the store turned physical.
According to reports, there was a verbal exchange involving an employee and a customer in a wheelchair. That situation escalated, and family members of the customer reportedly stepped in, which led to the employee being assaulted.
This location has been serving North County for years, and a lot of people in the community, including regular customers, are familiar with the staff and the service there. That’s why it’s tough to see things go left like this.
But at the same time, we have to keep it real. Too many situations lately are going from words to hands way too fast. Not saying who was right or wrong, but at some point we have to learn how to handle things without it turning physical.
Places like this matter to the community, and situations like this can impact whether businesses continue to stay and serve the area. Hopefully, cooler heads can prevail moving forward.
