COTTLEVILLE, MO — Early Monday morning, Crown Luxury Resale became the latest target in a string of luxury thefts, as thousands of dollars worth of high-end designer bags, wallets, and sunglasses were stolen before sunrise.
Co-owner Jeanie Gonzales says the thieves made off with Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and several Chanel bags items that are known to be worth a pretty penny. Her daughter, Gabby, was the first to hear from police around 5 a.m. after the store’s front door had been shattered during the break-in.
Despite alarm systems and cameras, authorities stated that even the best security setups aren’t foolproof. “It didn’t give them a long period of time in the store, but long enough to get away with several things.”
