MAN CHARGED WITH KIDNAPPING AND ASSAULT AFTER BEATING WOMAN AND STUFFING HER IN TRUNK

A man’s now facing serious charges for kidnapping and assault after police say he beat a woman during an argument and stuffed her in the trunk of his car.

St. Louis County Police responded around 2:15 a.m. Monday to the 8800 block of Torii Drive after a woman called 911 saying she was locked inside a car trunk. According to a probable cause statement, the two had been arguing while driving on I-170 when the man, identified as Denny Mosley, punched her in the face. The woman suffered a black eye and a large knot on her forehead. When she tried to escape, police say Mosley chased her down, forced her back to the car, and shoved her into the trunk before driving off.

A witness also reported the incident and surveillance footage confirmed what happened. Officers from the Bridgeton Police Department later found the vehicle near Brittany Circle and Natural Bridge Road. Mosley was arrested, and the woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
