29-year-old Lee Anthony Bogan Jr., also known as “Coach Teejay,” has been sentenced to 90 months in federal prison after prosecutors say he sent sexually explicit photos and messages to high school students in the St. Louis area.
According to officials, Bogan was working at a local high school when he began contacting students through social media in the spring of 2024. Investigators say he sent photos of his genitals and engaged in sexually explicit conversations while attempting to build inappropriate relationships with the minors.
Authorities said Bogan believed the photos would disappear, but several students took screenshots and later reported the behavior.
Federal prosecutors stated that the students helped stop what they described as grooming behavior by coming forward and speaking up.
Bogan pleaded guilty in February to one count of attempting to receive child pornography. In addition to the prison sentence, he will remain on supervised release for life after being released from custody.
