At this time, we would like to send our prayers and condolences to former Berkeley Fire Chief Henry Williams and his loved ones. Henry Williams was fatally gunned down around 6 p.m. in the 500 block of North Clay Avenue in Ferguson. When officers arrived, they found him and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save them, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
This is tragic, and his family and friends are hurting. We will keep a close eye on this investigation as it develops.
