Devin Daugherty is now facing charges after he allegedly caused the crash on Highway 367 that took the lives of three women on May 1.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. and claimed the lives of 18-year-old Jordyn Williams, a Ritenour High School senior and recent prom queen, 53-year-old Cherese Fisher, who was driving a 2020 Lexus RX350 and was Jordynβs aunt, and 28-year-old Andrea Medina, who was driving a 2013 Toyota Highlander.
According to investigators, Daugherty was driving a 2013 Cadillac SRX southbound when he sideswiped the Lexus, causing it to cross into northbound traffic and collide with the Highlander. The impact caused the Lexus to overturn.
Authorities say he left the scene after the crash and was later identified. Reports state his mother turned him in after the vehicle was traced back to her. He is also facing additional charges, including leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and driving while revoked or suspended.
