This is disturbing.😞 A woman has died after police say she was found unresponsive with obvious signs of physical trauma inside St. Andrews of Jennings II early Sunday morning.
Officers responded shortly after 5:15 a.m. to the 9600 block of Halls Ferry Road. The woman was rushed to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Police say another resident was taken into custody, and both the victim and the person detained lived at the facility and knew each other.
And this is the part that raises even more questions. Families place their loved ones in assisted living facilities because they expect them to be safe, protected and cared for.
Police have not released the victim’s name or exactly what happened yet, but the investigation is ongoing.
