It is with our deepest regret that we share this update. The man who was shot and killed in Ferguson has been identified as 41-year-old Ronald Milton.
Mr. Milton was known as a stand-up father, a hard worker, and an entrepreneur who stayed consistent. He was the owner of Backyard BBQ, and had been serving the community from the same location on Halls Ferry for years without any issues. Many people knew him not just for his food, but for who he was as a person. We even promoted his business multiple times.
What makes this even harder is knowing his 42nd birthday was less than a month away.
There has been a strong reaction across social media, but this goes far beyond posts and comments. His children, his family, and those closest to him are now left to deal with a loss that no one is ever prepared for.
