There was a time when the Delmar Loop didn’t need much. No club, no dress code. Just music in the air, the smell of good food floating from corner to corner, and the sound of live talent pouring out from storefronts and open windows. Back then, a simple walk down the street made you feel like you were somewhere special, like our own little Vegas tucked into the heart of St. Louis.

Blue Ocean stood in the middle of it all. For 17 years, it fed us more than food. It fed memories. It’s hard watching these pieces of our city slowly fade. First it was the music, then the crowds, and now another place that held so many moments is closing its doors.
