After years of pouring their hearts into the community, Steve’s Hot Dogs and The Fountain on Delmar have announced they’re shutting down both of their Delmar locations for good. The final day of service is January 10, 2026.

Let’s be clear this isn’t just about hot dogs and ice cream. These businesses showed up when the community needed them most. After the tornado hit in May, they didn’t just clean up and keep it moving. They fed people. They served as a recovery hub. They raised over $100,000 to help rebuild that block. They were trying to be the change on Delmar the line that’s divided this city for decades.

So now, after giving everything they had, the team says it’s no longer sustainable to operate at the Delmar Maker’s Locale. But they made it clear this is a shift, not a shutdown. They’re finding spots for all their staff across their other locations on South Grand, Chesterfield, and their food truck team.

If you ever pulled up for a bite, shared a laugh, or just enjoyed that space they’re asking you to come through one last time before January 10. Let’s show them the same love they gave this block.
