SPIRIT AIRLINES IS PULLING OUT OF ST. LOUIS ✈️

Things just got real for travelers flying out of Lambert. Spirit Airlines has officially announced that it will stop all service to and from St. Louis Lambert International Airport starting January 8th, 2026. That includes all three of its current routes that serve the city.

The airline, based in Florida, says it’s cutting service not just in St. Louis but also in Milwaukee, Phoenix, and Rochester, New York, as part of a larger strategy to “focus on stronger performing markets.” The company also blamed the decision on having a smaller operating fleet going into the new year.

Currently, Spirit flies out of St. Louis to Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Las Vegas, but that will come to an end this winter. And if you were thinking about Colombia’s seasonal service to Bucaramanga is also ending on January 13th.

Spirit previously served more destinations out of STL, but has slowly been scaling back.

✈️ If you already booked a flight for next year, check your email. Refunds or rebookings should be issued soon, but passengers are urged to follow up directly with the airline.
