Kourtney is a 14yr old has been a straight A student with a sprinkle of B’s here and there throughout elementary and middle school. She graduated from middle school with a perfect 4.0 GPA and during her 7th grade and 8th grade school year she became a scholar athlete playing on the girls’ basketball team at Confluence Elite Academy.
Kourtney was born premature so she experienced some developmental delays with speaking and walking, but by the age of 6, Kourtney had caught up developmentally and began to excel academically.
Our incredible student of the week is adapting well to high school and to being a ninth grader at a school that allows you to kind of just be yourself. Early on, Kourtney developed a love for writing and she plans to continue to develop her writing skills by enrolling into a creative writing course.
Kourtney’s mother wanted her to be recognized and celebrated for her bravery, courage, uniqueness and academics success achieved thus far.
In her mother’s words, “Kourtney is a whole lot of sunshine and awesomeness.”
So it is with great pleasure to congratulate Kourtney as our Student of the Week for the Week of September 2, 2019.
Keep up the great work, Kourtney! The sky is not the limit, it’s only the view!
