An O’Fallon Missouri woman is facing charges after police say she and a group of others beat up a 14-year-old over a shirt.

According to police, 43-year-old Tonya Carrillo’s teen son went to meet the victim to retrieve the shirt on July 18. Instead of meeting one person, the victim was met by a group of people ready to fight.

Carillo was seen on surveillance pulling up to the fight and getting out to help beat the 14-year-old up along with another adult who pulled out a gun and pistol whipped the victim.

After several minutes of being jumped, the group left.

The 14-year-old was said to have suffered a broken nose, several cuts to his head, and multiple bruises and cuts on his body.

Carrillo told police that the fight was over an expensive shirt that the victim refused to return. She told her son “not to let the victim punk him.”

She also told police that she supports her child fully and that the victim “ needed this kind of beat down because his parents do not seem to care about his behavior.”

Carrillo has been charged with endangering a minor and is being held on a $25,000 bond.
