Officials have identified the 2-year-old boy who tragically passed away as Bre’yeon Wells. According to police, the Child Abuse Unit initially took over the investigation, but the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has since stated that the circumstances surrounding Bre’yeon’s death were considered “suspicious.”
Two adults who were with Bre’yeon at the time were questioned but later released as the investigation continues. On October 29, the Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Bre’yeon had signs of strangulation along with other injuries, according to SLMPD.
We just want to take a moment to send our heartfelt condolences to this beautiful angel. Sometimes life isn’t fair, and this is one of those heartbreaking moments. This baby had his whole life ahead of him. Rest easy, Bre’yeon.
